How much does a Wedding DJ cost?

Prices vary based on size and production. For a quality wedding DJ with years of experience expect to pay $1700 and more. For reference, W1N Sounds and Entertainment’s rates start at $1200 for Reception Services, DJ Music and basic equipment for lighting and sound. There are additional packages and options that can be added to your wedding.

 

What events do you perform?

I perform Weddings, Birthdays, Corporate & Civic Events, School and Work functions. Whatever your event may be, we provide an uncompromising DJ and entertainment service and experience.

 

What is your style of MCing?

I would describe my style as non-hype interaction providing crisp and clear announcements but not letting it dominate the evening. I am NOT here to be the center of attention.

 

What is your style of DJing?

My focus is on the quality of the music and playing the music with smooth transitions. We focus on the guests to ensure the right music is being played at the right volumes at the right time. I can mix everything from Abba to ZZTop to Pitbull to Kenny G.

 

How far in advance should we book for our wedding?

Most couples will book 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for peak dates between May and October. Booking early ensures availability and awards you with access to all my planning tools, timeline assistance, and consultations.

 

Do you provide ceremony and cocktail hour audio and microphones?

Yes, this an optional service. This service includes a dedicated sound system, discreet lapel microphones for officiants, and wireless handheld microphones.

 

What types of music do you play?

Every playlist is custom-tailored to your preferences. Expect seamless mixing across genres including pop, dance, hip hop, classics, indie, EDM, Motown, rock, and cultural selections. Your do-play and do-not-play lists are always followed.

 

Do you take requests from guests?

Yes, unless you prefer otherwise. All requests are filtered through your music guidelines ensuring the song aligns with your vision and maintaining a great dance-floor vibe.

 

How long is your wedding package?

The Reception package typically covers four (4) hours for dinner and performance. We do offer ceremony, cocktail hour and even an after-party as an option. If you would like extend the reception, we can accommodate.

 

Do you offer planning tools or timeline assistance?

Yes. We will be present for all your meetings. We have simple forms with questions to address all aspects of the party. We turn your party and event into a theatrical production. Everything is discussed and planned with redundancies and backup plans.

 

Do you travel outside of your main region?

Yes. While most of my bookings take place in the Southeast Georgia, we will happily travel beyond this area. I only charge a per diem for travel and lodging. We will typically book in a 5 to 6 hr radius from Savannah, Ga.

 

What is required to book?

After initial consultation, we will submit a quote and proposal of details of services to be provided. A signed proposal and retainer deposit are required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event.

 

Do You Have backup equipment?

We have backups to critical equipment. We ensure that your event has no unplanned interruptions. This is a MUST by all DJ's.

 

Do we meet face-to-face, email, phone, Teams?

The answer is yes (to all four). I will work with you on whichever method you are most comfortable with. I will send out a "meeting minutes" of our discussions via email. This provides transparency and communication to everyone.
